Personal Profile
Born in Cleveland, Ohio, just as my father returned from World War II. I was fortunate that I was able to work in various factories (the good old days) and pay my way through college.
My father was a successful auto parts salesman and sales manager. Even though he advised me to become an accountant since I had a "head for numbers," he taught me how to be a good manager and sales person.
He taught me to listen carefully, analyze the situation before coming to a conclusion, and always treat people with respect.
I have been married over 40 years to my college sweetheart and have 2 children and 3 grandchildren.
Growing up, I worked both evenings and weekends, but the one passion I shared with my father was to watch and attend football games, a passion I now share with my family.
I believe young people are the keys to our future and as a member of the Kiwanis; I am able to administer the "Terrific Kids" program in our local elementary schools.
Professional Profile
Certifications: Certified Public Accountant, Ohio and New York Certified Internal Auditor, New York
Education: MBA, Miami University, Oxford, OH 1969 BA, Miami University, Oxford, OH 1967
For the first 40 years of my career, I worked as a CPA, a controller, a CFO, and production manager in Fortune 500 companies, privately held companies, and in "new business start-ups."
During this time I learned a great deal about raising capital and the use of financial alternatives such as leasing resources to assist in the growth of the companies I represented.
When the opportunity arose in 2006 to use my skills to assist numerous companies in acquiring additional capital through leasing, I found this an exciting use of my skills.
My accounting and financial background makes it possible for me to work with the CFO's of the largest companies, while my experience in several "start-up" companies allows me to understand and assist companies of all sizes, I have a higher approval rate because of my ability to assist an applicant in properly putting together the financial information necessary for a successful application and then being able to "represent" the applicant when the credit manager reviews the application.
This is a great combination when added to the strength of Quail Equipment Leasing, who can seek the best plan and best rate for the stronger applicants and seek financial options for those companies that are struggling to get the support they need.
I specialize in a wide variety of Industries and equipment including apparel, engraving, industrial lasers, printing equipment, woodworking, bedding, packaging and many more.
I am extremely fortunate that I have the experience and the independence to determine which vendors of equipment I will work with. I always have the satisfaction of knowing when I work with an applicant that the equipment is being supplied by a reputable vendor who stands behind the equipment that is being sold.
